  • Mayor's Cup

    The children of Bell Academy received the Mayor's Cup for the 2015 Spring Fling Mayor's Cup Challenge The Spring Fling is part of the Saturday's Park initiative and runs due to community partnerships involving Cleveland School District, Delta State University Division of Health, Physical Education and Recreation in the College of Education and Human Sciences, Excel by 5, and the Mayor's Taskforce for a Healthy Community. The Saturday's in the Park Spring Fling is an annual event that has been in existence since 2010. The partnership organizes 3 events per year The Spring Fling event, a fall event, and a winter event.     Yearbooks are now on sale. All orders should be submitted by Wednesday, April 20, 2016. Yearbooks will be distributed during fall semester of next school year.   • Bell Academy Celebrates $4,000.00 Grant for Breakfast and Gym Improvements

    Bell Academy was recently able to purchase a new commercial blender and physical education (PE) equipment upgrades thanks to a $4,000.00 grant from Fuel Up to Play 60. The Cleveland School District, local 4-H officials, Fuel Up to Play 60 and Southeast United Dairy Industry Association, Inc. (SUDIA) celebrated the accomplishment at Bell Academy on March 21 with a student assembly and check presentation ceremony. Bell Academy Fuel Up to Play 60 Program Advisor and PE Director Joyce Aycock, along with Cleveland School District Child Nutrition Director Krista Davis, submitted the grant application for Bell Academy. During the ceremony, Fuel Up to Play 60 and SUDIA staff presented Bell Academy Principal Sonya Swafford with a large novelty check and teachers greeted students dressed up as healthy fruits and vegetables.
