My name is Tiffanie Russell, and I am the Science Lab Specialist at Bell Academy. I will be supporting classroom science instruction with hands-on lab activities for grades Pre-K to 6th grade. The core of my science instruction will be a Full Option Science System (FOSS), an inquiry based science program. My students will interact with objects, materials, organisms, and systems in an inquiry-based environment that promotes investigation and high-level thinking.
I hold both a Bachelor and Master's degree in Exceptional Education from Delta State University. I have also completed certification in Leadership and Administration in Education. I have 15 years of teaching experience in Exceptional Education, Language Arts, and Science. During my years as an educator, I have served in many capacities including teaching in both the elementary and middle school areas, as well as serving as an academic coach. I am married to Clint Russell, and we have two children Anna and Collin. I have lived in the Delta my entire life, living the past twelve years in Cleveland.
I am elated to begin the school year as a teacher at Bell Academy. It is my desire to work with the students, parents, teachers, and community to ensure our students are receiving the best education possible. I believe that ALL children can learn, and this will be he guiding principle in my classroom. I look forward to meeting each student and their family. We will have an exciting and engaging year in the Science Lab!!
