  • REGISTRATION FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR

    We are excited about the new school year, and that begins with registration. For all CURRENT and NEW Hayes Cooper Center Patriots, you will need to make plans to come to the school during the registration days of July 26-29, 7:30AM-3:30PM.   • Thirty-Two Hayes Cooper Center Upper Grade Students Eligible for Duke TIP

    Thirty-two Hayes Cooper Center students are eligible for the Duke University TIP Program. The Duke TIP program has served over 2.9 million academically talented students in grades 4-12 since it was founded in 1980. Collaborating with educators and parents, TIP helps gifted students assess the extent of their academic abilities with above-grade-level testing, recognizes them for their achievements, and provides them with a variety of enrichment benefits.

  • Students Win Regional Essay Contest

    Every year, Kroger Delta sponsors an essay an poetry contest for children around Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee for grades 3-12 to promote Black History Month. This year's theme was The Dream: Past, Present and Future. This year marked the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King,Jr. Congratulations to these two local winners. Both young ladies attend Hayes Cooper Center, Tiara Williams, first place, and Jaidyn Bryant, third place winner.

  • Iris Xue is the Runner-Up in State Spelling Competition.

    Iris Xue was the state runner-up in 2018 State Spelling Bee Competition. Approximately 50 students ranging in the ages of 9 to 14 competed.

  • Student is a Finalist in State Geography Bee

    Rushyendranath Nalamalapu was a finalist in the state geography bee held in Jackson, Mississippi. The finalists for the school competition were Holt Fortner and Patrick Wessel. We are proud of Rushyendranath for representing Hayes Cooper in this state-level competition.

  • Family Science Night

    Family Science Night, organized by Amanda Bonner, the Science Lab Specialist at Hayes Cooper Center, provided a time for families to enjoy the wonders of science together. The school community always looks forward to this fun educational experience. Some of the activities that the families enjoyed were geocaching, an egg drop, marshmallow shooter, potato shooters, bungee jumping eggs, catapult pumpkins, make your own bouncy ball, make your own fidget spinners, color wheels, make your own paddle boat, and a crystal growing station. Pictured are some of the families engaged in the activities and the students who placed in the egg drop. For the Fifth and Sixth Grade Category, Alaynna McGee(2nd place) and Claire Allen(1st Place) and Second, Third, And Fourth Grade Category, Spencer Goodlett(1st place) and Aubrey Nichols(2nd Place).

  • Hayes Cooper Center for Math and Science is a magnet school that serves students in 4K-Sixth Grade and their families of the Cleveland School District.
