Margaret Green Junior High School

Quality Education: Pride in Excellence.

Welcome to MGJH

  • Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year!  The Margaret Green JHS community is committed to providing a positive, challenging, and academically oriented learning environment for all students.  Our goal is to provide learning activities which require high levels of critical thinking and reasoning, accompanied by application of learning to real-world situations.  Along with a strong academic program, there are many opportunities for our students to learn about music, technology, art, journalism, and health & wellness.  Our teachers are experienced and dedicated professionals who are committed to helping all students reach their full potential.

Success is not a matter of luck, but planning and organization.  Parents, you can support your stuents during middle school by checking to make sure that assignments are completed, staying in contact with teachers via email or telephone, and by joining MGJH's Parent Student Teacher Association.  MGJH's PSTA is a strong organization that needs parent volunteers to support various programs and activities.  The consistent support and encouragement of parents result in greater success for all students.

I look forward to another successful school year!  Please continue to stay involved and call on your child's teacher, counselor, or administrator for any assistance you may need during the 2016-2017 school year.

    Sincerely,

    Mr. Archie R. Mitchell, Ed.S.

    Principal
