  • Hayes Cooper's Sixth Grade Class of 2019

The Hayes Cooper Sixth Grade Graduation was held on May 20, 2019. Dana George of Delta State University was the guest speaker. Mrs. George discussed the value of Hayes Cooper to the Cleveland community and implored our graduates to work hard to make the world a better place. Langston Smith was the Valedictorian, and Isabella Givens was the Salutatorian. We wish our sixth grade class of 2019 the best, and we are going to miss you. We look forward to seeing your future accomplishments! You are confident that you have a strong foundation. #alwaysapatriot

  • 2019-2020 Educational Excursions Planned

During registration, information about upcoming excursions will be sent home about our upcoming educational excursions for the 2019-2020 school year. Students begin participating in overnight excursions in third grade with Camp McDowell. This year, fourth grade will return to St. Louis and the Shaw Nature Reserve. Fifth Grade will travel to the American Village and extend their learning from an intensive unit on civil rights by touring the Civil Rights Museum. This year, the sixth grade will travel to South Carolina for a marine wildlife research camp. Last year was the first year to begin this trip, and this in-depth marine biology study proved worthwhile.
