Mr. Arthur F. Johnson

Mr. Johnson has over 20 years of experience working with students and teachers. He has served as a Social Studies Teacher, Assistant Varsity Football Coach/Defensive Coordinator, 9th Grade and Junior Varsity Defensive Coordinator and Head Powerlifting Coach prior to his service as a school administrator. After a brief, yet successful coaching career, he was selected for a year-long administrative sabbatical at Delta State University. Upon completion of the sabbatical, he served as an Elementary and 9th Grade Academy Principal. During this time, he was also selected as Administrator of the Year by his peers. Mr. Johnson has also held school leadership positions as Middle School Principal, Instructional Coach, School Improvement Grant Officer and additional district level leadership positions.  

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Millsaps College, and Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Mississippi. He also received his Master of Education degree in Education Leadership from Delta State University; and he is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Mississippi. Mr. Johnson has also completed studies at Harvard University's School of Education Principal's Institute and Millsaps College's Principal's Institute. 

Mr. Johnson is married to Leneatra Brownlee, and they have two sons.
