Ms. Brittney Nicolette Holmes
Ms. Brittney Holmes has 4 years of experience as an educator. She previously taught Physical Education, ELA, and Drug & Safety Education at Coahoma County Jr Sr High School for the past three years. She is now the ACT Prep instructor here at Cleveland Central High School. Ms. Holmes has also coached dance, softball and track. Along with teaching ACT Prep, she serves as Senior Sponsor and Student Council Sponsor at Cleveland Central High School.
Ms. Holmes holds a Masters Degree in Teaching Secondary Education from Jackson State University. She is presently working towards completing her specialist in administration and leadership at Delta State University.
Holmes is a proud graduate of the class of 2008 from East Side High School. She later completed her Associates in Recreational Leadership from Coahoma Community College and her Bachelors in HPER from Delta State University. One of her greatest joys of teaching is being able to gradually watch her students find their true identity of theirselves and work hards towards becoming a better person educationally, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Holmes favorite quote is, “You can’t go back and change the beginning but you can start where you are and change the ending.” - C.S. Lewis.
Holmes is the mother of three handsome boys, Jordan (13) and Carson & Carter (7). She enjoys having movie night with her boys and bonding with them. She is also an event planner/coordinator on the side. Her hobbies are crafting, graphic designing, reading and writing, and working with young people.
