I have a true passion for working with our learners!!  Helping each child progress in all areas of their development is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily.  I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment. Mrs. Grant

Hello everyone and welcome to 6th grade ELA.  I was born in Mississippi, but consider myself blessed because I have lived in six different states and I can say without a doubt I love the South and our state.  I graduated from high school in Foley, Alabama in 1988.  I graduated from Delta State in 1996 and 1998.   I have been employed with the Cleveland School District for 26 years.  I have taught English/Language Arts for 21 of those years.  I have taught grades 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th. This is my 9th year at Bell Academy and I absolutely love this little school and all it encompasses.  This will be my seventh year teaching 6th grade ELA/Reading. I am married to Ric and we have 8 furry little babies.  I believe that in a classroom children must have fun, while they are learning.  I also believe that learning must have purpose in order to be effective.  I am a big proponent of reading and writing and hope to pass that love on to your children.  For fun I like to read and have coffee with my friends.  If you need me please do not hesitate to call the school or email me.  Here's to a great, exciting, and educational fun-filled year!
