Ms. Tina McDonald

Hello! This is my sixth year at Pearman Elementary. I am teaching fifth grade science. My previous teaching experience spans all subjects in grades first through sixth. I've also worked at Cypress Park Elementary which is now D.M. Smith Elementary. My favorite thing about teaching is my students! I love to see them grow socially, emotionally, and intellectually. I make science fun by using manipulatives and project based learning. My goal is to instill a love of learning in every student.

I was born and raised in the Merigold/Boyle/Cleveland area. I graduated from Cleveland High School in 1990. In 1997, I received my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Delta State University.  I have three wonderful children. Haley is 25 years old. Cody is 23. Michaela is 17 and attends Cleveland Central High School. I also take care of my grandmother. She raised me, and now I am happy to return the favor. I have three dogs. "Darwin" Alfonso Pepe is a Treeing Fiest and dachshund mix. "Dixon" Bartholomew is a Bullypit. Princess "Buttercup" Marie is a lab and hound dog mix.

My hobbies are completing puzzles, reading, and flower gardening. My favorite ways to spend time away from school are attending concerts, fan conventions, art shows, and classic car shows. In the summer my favorite thing to do is go on road trips.
