Hi! My name is Mrs. Shawandra B. Walker! This will be my 21st year teaching, and my fourth year at D.M. Smith Elementary School. I am EXCITED about this year!!

I have been married almost 21 years to Mr. Kiahrie Walker.

I grew up in Drew, MS where I attended A.W. James Elementary School and Little Red for Kindergarten through 5^th grade. I attended Hunter Middle School for 6^th and 7^th grade. I then attended Drew High School before graduating in 1995.

In December of 1999, I completed my coursework and graduated in May 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from Delta State University. In May 2014, I graduated from DSU for the second time with a Master’s degree in Special Education. Then in 2016, I received a Specialist’s degree in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.

I am an active member of Bolivar County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. I am also a member of Mississippi Professional Educators (MPE).
