ONLINE READING RESOURCES FOR DISTANCE LEARNING

  • "Office hours" during this time... I will be available from 9 am-12 pm Monday-Friday. Please email me at crogers@cleveland.k12.ms.us, and I will respond as soon as possible. I can also answer questions posted to our HCC Parent Facebook page.

    RENAISSANCE LEARNING (AR) INFO

    • AR (Renaissance Learning) is available for home testing during this time. You cannot go to any Renaissance Learning site. Each one is specific to each school. Make sure you go to the link at the bottom of the HCC website to get to our correct site (or see link below).

          Renaissance Learning (AR)

    • The students SHOULD know their log-in. In case they don't, the username is first name/last name (no caps or spaces). The password is abc. When they get to the actual test, it is still going to ask for a monitor password. The monitor password is abc.

    • Tests can only be taken on the weekdays (M-F) between 7:45 am and 2:45 pm. It will not allow you to take tests outside of these times.

    • Refer to the teacher's page to know what level and point goals are set for your child.

    ONLINE READING SITES

Here are links and passwords for online reading opportunities:

This site is one of my favorites (and the kids, too)!  There are a WEALTH of great books on this site. Many students (especially grades 3-6) are already very familiar with this site and how to log-in/use.

    Directions:

    1) Once on the site, click log-in in the upper right corner.

    2) Click on the blue box that says Students and Educators.

    3) Under student log-in, enter the code for your child's teacher. Then click Go!

Use this website below to look up books on AR Book Find to determine if it is an AR book, the quiz number, the book level, and the points.  Please don't assume ALL books are AR - they aren't. Of course, reading is for fun!  It doesn't always have to be about "the test".
