If you are doing learning packets, you have two extra ones to complete to substitute for the online Live Chat you will be missing. Instructions for journal entries are located at the top of the page with the prompts. Students, you also need to ensure that you are completing your 45 minutes of IReady lessons per week! There will be a Google Meets Chat on Friday for students. If you are completing a packet, you will need to answer Journal Entry #6 on Friday as a substitute. Please ensure that you are getting your 45 minutes of IReady this week as well as completing any teacher assigned lesson that you have not finished. Email me if you need any help or have questions!

    Good morning everyone. Be sure to do your best to complete the following assignments in a timely manner. Your hard work will not go unnoticed.

    For those who have access to Google Classroom, please complete the live chat survey as soon as possible. It will help me in planning assignments for the remainder of the year.

    Week of April 20-24, 2020

    Monday: Complete the IReady Spring Diagnostic. It may take two days to complete. Take your time.

    Tuesday: Log onto Google Classroom and complete the survey titled "Let's Chat." Finish your diagnostics for those who have not done so.

    (An alternate assignment will be available for pick-up at CCMS at the scheduled time for those who do not have internet access.)

    Wednesday: Grammar Assignment Pages 1-2 Subects and Predicates. (It is located in google classroom)

    The students will complete  two "Teacher Assigned" IReady lessons covering the following standards for the week:

    RI.8.2 Determine a central idea of a text and analyze its development over the course of the text, including its relationship to supporting ideas; provide an objective summary of the text.

    RI.8.3 Analyze how a text makes connections among and distinctions between individuals, ideas, or events (e.g., through comparisons, analogies, or categories).

    Each  assignment will count as a G1 grade. The students will also receive an extra credit 100 for completing their required IReady minutes for the week (which the time it takes to complete the assigned lessons will accomplish).
