Ms. Dorothy Lee Jones
Dorothy Lee Jones is a native of Boyle, Mississippi. She is the former Directress of the Rust College A’Cappella Choir, (2010-2015). She also served as the choir directress for the Greenville-Weston High School and the Greenville Public School District Supervisor, in Greenville, Mississippi. She assumed her present position as the music instructor and choir director for D. M. Smith Middle School in July 2015. Presently, she is serving as the Piano/Keyboard Instructor and Choir Director for the Cleveland Central Middle School and Cleveland Central High School.
Ms. Jones is a 1982 graduate of East Side High School. She served six years in the United States Marine Corps, graduated magna cum laude from Mississippi Valley State University with a Bachelor of Music Education Degree, and earned the Master of Music Education from Jackson State University. She is a member of National Association for Music Education (NAfME)
Ms. Jones has a broad background in music which ranges from instructing and directing children and adult church choirs to formulating multiple high school choirs, and steering them through keen competition which has resulted in Special Achievement Awards and numerous outstanding honors.
She is an active member of the Lilly of the Valley COGIC in Greenville, Mississippi. Her pastor is Elder Roy Riley, Jr.
