Welcome to Cleveland CTE Center! I am glad to be a part of your child's education for the current school year. Education is a rewarding career, and I feel passionate about educating the teens of today for their future of tomorrow. The 2018-2019 school year will be my 20th year in education. This will be my 7th year as the CTE Director. I have previously served as the International Baccalaureate Middle Years & Diploma programs for the formerly, known Eastside High School for four years and D.M. Smith Middle School for three years. I taught IB Psychology at Eastside High School for 11th grade (1 year). I taught at H.M. Nailor Elementary School for 1st and 5th grades for six years. I completed my student teaching at I.T. Montgomery Elementary School in 1st grade and John F. Kennedy High School in 8th grade. I served as a teacher assistant at I.T. Montgomery Elementary School for 2nd grade (1/2 year), and I served as a teacher assistant at Ruleville Elementary School for 3years.
My husband, Archie and I have a daughter, Ansley, who is 12 years old and a son, Austin, who is 15 years old.
I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Mississippi Valley State University, a Master of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Delta State University, a Master of Science Degree in Special Education: Gifted, Talented, and Creative from Arkansas State University, and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, and Supervision from Jackson State University. I hold licensure certifications in Elementary Education, English, Kindergarten, Social Studies, Administration, and CTE Administration. Also, I am IC3, COOL, NCCER, and Microsoft Office (Word) certified.
