Ms. Dazhia Davis-Carr
Hi! My name is Ms. Carr and I will be teaching 4th Grade Reading and Social Studies for the 2020-2021 school year. This is my second year teaching 4th grade at Pearman. While this is my second year teaching in a public school setting, I have prior teaching and mentoring experience with elementary school-aged children. All scholars' needs are considered when teaching--not just their academic needs, but their social-emotional and physical needs as well. I look forward to working with my students this year as we strive toward success!
I don't have any children of my own quite yet, but I do have two dogs that I absolutely adore named Beni and Bruno. Beni is a laid back 8-year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi while Bruno is a spunky 1-year old mixed breed.Their differing personalities certainly bring balance to the household.
I attended The University of Alabama where I received my Bachelor of Science in Human Environmental Sciences with a major in Early Childhood Education and a concentration in Early Childhood Development. I am currently pursing a Masters degree in Elementary Education.
Some of my 'Favorites' include: caramel macchiato drinks with extra caramel from Mississippi Grounds, pineapple bubble tea, Coca-cola or Pepsi, cool colors (purples, blues, and greens), mini Snickers, Fruit-flavored candies especially skittles and gummy bears, desk supplies such as flair pens and sticky notes, Korean BBQ, lavender flowers, and the show Criminal Minds. Some of my hobbies include DIY projects, playing chess, and crocheting.
