LOCATION CHANGE FOR IMPORTANT MEETING FOR K-3rd GRADE PARENTS

If you have a child in kindergarten through third grade, you will want to attend an important meeting hosted by the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE).

In a series of regional meetings, MDE will share information and strategies to help parents prepare their children for the new, higher standards that third-grade students must meet to be promoted to grade four. Beginning this year, students must score at Level Three or higher on the state reading test to be promoted to fourth grade. In previous years, students had to score at Level Two or higher to be promoted.

See the schedule below for meeting dates and locations. Session time for all locations: 6 – 7 p.m.  No registration is required; there is no cost to attend.
